I was thinking with Missouri being gone next year, They may bring it back to maybe OKC or Dallas. What are the chances the Big 12 doesn't bring it back to KC?
The NCAA and Big 12 is all about money. KU is the biggest draw so at least the men's tournament will be in KC many times more than it should be. They don't care about fair.
The men's tournament should stay in KC, it gets the best fan support there.
What is the big hard on with Missouri? The tourney being in KC has nothing to do with MU. Do you think that OKC was clamoring for the old Holiday tourney? There's been a tourney in KC for 40 years - long before this league ever thought of sniffing Texas. I don't have a problem with other sites having the games but this attitude is rubbish.
It's called WHY would the Big-12 put millions of TAX dollars in the state of Missouri's pockets when they wanted nothing to do with us. NEVER should KC have any of our events again -NEVER!!!!!!!!!!! And the money made is as good in OKC and DALLAS asd all the tickets are sold. And don't give me any of the "butts in seats" crap as there mostly empty seats for alot of the games.
NO MORE MONEY TO THE STATE OF MISSOURI - they are SEC
Wow. You got me there. I have no response. I'd call this post moronic but I'd hate to insult any morons that might be reading this.
Butts in the seats? Yeah, can't wait for them packing the rafters in Houston and Dallas for that ISU/WVU game. Can you imagine the throngs of OU, OSU, and Tech fans flocking to see their teams one and done after not showing up at games all year? As I said I have no problem with rotation or whatever. I go to the women's games as opposed to the mens. Your reasoning is ridiculous. Did your momma get scared by a Tiger when she was pregnant? Should no tax dollars to to the state of Texas because A$M jumped ship? BTW, the Sprint Center is about two miles from Kansas, not down in the Boot Heel. The tourney pumps about 60$ million into the local(read Kansas and Missouri) economy and not just into state coffers. Businesses as well as people in both states benefit from the weekend. Store owners, waiters, waitresses, etc., all make money and in turn spread the money throughout the local economy.
It makes as much sense for the tournament to be in Missouri as it would for the tourney to be in Arkansas or New Mexico. Why should the Big XII tournament and it's fans support the economy of a state that moved to another conference? The SEC conference is welcome to add KC to their tournament rotation.
KCRuf - Well, thanks for calling me a Moron or worse - so much for the rules on this board about NOT attacking posters. This board is usually fairly intelligent and civil - your post was NOT.
So what part of my post is moronic by the way - what part of what I said is UNTRUE? Most of the tax dollars DO go to the state of Missouri don't they? MORON? I have been to KC many times and most of the people stay AND eat and are intertained IN MISSOURI - MORON??? Aren't they, HUH???? MORON???? VERY LITTLE IS "PUMPED" INTO KANSAS hotrod. Obviously you live in KC and are a HOMER for the tourney being there. But you will soon find yourself on the outside looking in on this subject as all the other MORONS that will decide this happen to feel the same way. OU/OSU/Texas/BAYlor/Tech or 5 out of 8 have NO DESIRE to travel to KU/KSU hometown AND put 60 million into an economy that said a big NO to the Big-12 (didn't they hotrod? - MU and the state of Missery has been trying to punt the Bid-12 for 3 years). So again, tell me, other than your homer heartfelt opinion, what part of my post is not true and is Moronic. Hmmmm. OKC has as good or better site to host with Bricktown and entertainment and hotels all in SHORT walking distance. And it is much more centrally located for all the schools.
