Fears may be the first player taken in the draft

Enjoy watching fears on this team while you can.

He is worth the price of admission

Team as a whole if a lot of fun to watch.

Moser’s “moneyball” approach to finding offensive talent is working to this point.

We won and didn’t really play that well. And we got literally mugged. The officials allowed at least 4 moving screens per possession and we were out rebounded by 345 rebounds but still won

I'd disagree that we didn't play well tho. Our FTs were great and 3 pt.

Echo pretty much everything else tho

No kidding on the screens. The Russian was like a pulling guard! Team showed a lot of heart to win this game. Fears is special. Selfishly, I’d like to see him come back another to get stronger and work on his passing and defense, but it’s starting to look like he’s draft bound.

Yes, barring some (God forbid) injury he will be playing pro ball next year. As he should be.

Your comments prior to your last couple of sentences were spot on. I was at the game and thought we played as well as reasonably expected. As for the officiating, when two schools with relatively equal talent play hard, aggressive defense and the total number of foul calls is close to 50/50, then they at least called a fair game. On my way out of the arena, all I could hear were Michigan fans complaining about the officiating as well. It's what fans do. I'll never forget the 2008 OU - Purdue game. I just looked up the stats. We shot 46 free throws and were called for 15 fouls compared to Purdue getting called for 28...and what did I read on the OU Message Boards after the game? Yup...complaints about how poor the officiating was. Human nature I guess.

And as bad as it seemed, we were only outrebounded by 5. They did beat us by 6 on offensive rebounds which is what we all notice and worry about. And it seemed even worse because they were +22 in the paint. That said, everyone knew this was coming and we kept competing in our way. We will have some games like this where we don’t shoot 48% from 3 and lose by 10 or more. But I think we are capable of beating anyone on that given night and we have enough guys who can compete athletically that we can win a lot of those games we should have won last year. Conference season is going to be fun although I don’t like starting it at Bama.

Boss, "pulling guard" was exactly the phrase I was trying to find but couldn't. The kid, vlad, was moving his feet on every screen.

Couple things not being mentioned much about the game was the game Taylor played and Moser's coaching in the second half where he just kept changing defenses and forced Michigan to guard his guards, particularly Fears, and basically, they couldn't.

Fun game, Fun team to watch, and a very needed win for our resume. BTW, I wouldn't want to play Michigan again. They are legit. I think they could make a run at the title this year if they stay healthy.

about UM: they ran the pick n roll at the FT with two 7 footers more than once....I'm not sure I've seen that before. and it looked pretty good.

I will take the W. hope we don't see those very big cats again.
It’s a staple of their offense. Wolf is great at it. Probably better than a lot of college point guards.

i was very impressed by wolf .. .. the russian would make a ton of NBA money if it was 1995 .... ... but Wolf I think has some pretty good NBA potential ..

I imagine he will be a 1st rounder this year. There was some nba talent on the court last night on both teams. I also think Vlad will be drafted. Big, coordinated players who have good touch are still valuable in the nba.
