Piggybacking on another thread about the WVU game being huge, I think the first 2 games at a bad WVU and home against a good OSU team are huge. They both could go either way.

What do think will be our record after the first 2 games? 2-0 could propell us to an above .500 record. 0-2 could sink us with a brutal stretch coming in the middle of big 12 play.

I'm hoping for 1-1, but who knows what will happen in these 2 games.

I have the feeling WVU is just bad and we can beat them in a low-scoring game in Morgantown. I'm afraid this Bedlam game will be like 2004 when they were just better.

But I have less of a grasp of either of these games than any others on the schedule, except maybe the Texas games.

I can see us winning both, and we need to hold home court to get in the Tournament. However I do feel that OSU is a little better this year. I think we are deeper but their top end talent is better than ours. I voted 1-1.

I still think we need to go 7-2 at home and 3-6 on the road. Winning at WVU would make the road wins easier to achieve.

I choose 2-0 but it will be harder to Beat OSU then it will WV on the road. OSU is pretty good. They had the Zags beat until the European went crazy in the 2nd half.

Sorry but I think you guys are nuts! I think it'll be extremely hard to win at wv... Have you seen the way we shoot most games? Who have we beat on the road as good or better than wv? I'd give us about a 25% chance against wv... I'll be more than happy to come back and eat crow though!

I think you answered your own criticism by stating that we had a road win came against who you say we cannot beat: WVU. Plus we also have a pretty good away from Home win against TAMU. Also, I know they are not a great team, but our road win at UTA was a good one because we had everything stacked against us: Opening a New Stadium, biggest Home game in School history etc... Yet we escaped with a win. WVU is very beatable, even at home, and if we are going to do anything this year, we have to win games like this.

I think our loss to Stephen F. has broken most fans confidence in this team. That Ohio win was a good one, and we looked great in our last game as well. If Pledger can continue to shoot the way he has been shooting, we will be a much better team.

I voted 2-0, but I would be pretty happy with going 3-1 in our next Four, so a loss at home to OSU is acceptable.

We do not have a road win against WVU. We have a neutral court win against WVU. There is a huge difference between beating someone on their court vs a neutral one. The ATM game was neutral also. Apples and oranges.

But hey, I like your confidence!

WVU and Huggins will be tough to beat at home, but not impossible.

It'll be like most games where the teams are fairly even on paper. A break here....a run there, will likely be deciding factors.

I say we win both!

I think we're clearly better than WVU.

I think OSU is slightly better, but being at home and a rivalry, I think we pull it off.

Wow. A lot of people think we'll go 2-0. I thought there would be a lot more picking 1-1 since both games could likely go either way.

There seems to be two dominate groups. The sunshine pumpers and the negative nellies.

This years team is much better than last years team. They will win more conference games than last years team. Some of those wins and losses will be predictable and some won't.

Huge games for us. Odds are 0-2 but 2-0 is also possible.

I couldn't agree more Gary, that always seems to happen. What is your prediction for today? And, how do you think we'll do against Osu, UT, and Baylor? Split?

Well, I think it would be realistic to say that they would swept by OSU, Kansas, and Baylor. And that they would sweep TT and TCU while splitting with the rest. That would be 8 conference wins.

But, to me, they have a chance to grow into a pretty decent group and win 9/10 conference games. My point is that along the way they will probably lose one or two that they shouldn't and win a couple that seemed unlikely.

They are a slight underdog today. But, they could win and I hope they do.

Off to a good start! I had 1-1 with a win at WVU. Hopefully you 2-0 people are right. I will be in Norman next Saturday cheering for the Sooners against Ford and company.

I think the 0-2 people should have to write the team an apology letter. :)

What about posters like me who chickened out and didn't vote at all? :ez-laugh:

To be honest, I didn't expect us to be 2-0 at this point. I thought that ol' bugaboo complacency would rear it's ugly head again.

Props to the players and Coach Kruger for proving me (and obviously a few others) wrong. I don't mind being wrong when the team exceeds my expectations.

:clap
