What was the reason that he only played 5 minutes in the Big 12 tourney his senior year?

Iowa St has bunch of athletic guys who can stretch the floor and Fitz doesn't match up well against that kind of lineup.

Fitz seems like a nice kid, but we won't miss him next year.

Last game vs ISU

We won 86-69
Fitz: stats
21 mins
10 pts
3 rebs

We lose this game
Fitz: stats

He has the game of someone who is 6'10". Unfortunately he's only 6'7". It's amazing the difference 3 inches can make.

Yeah b/c M'Baye's 20 mins 6pts and 3 rebs makes the future look so much better.

Yes, getting the Capel leftovers flushed out of the system and having M'Baye next year is an indicator of a brighter future.

M'Baye is at least athletic, can jump and gets up the floor quickly. The potential is there, just hope he can find it. Fitz tries hard and gives his all, he just doesn't have the physical tools M'Baye has. If you could give M'Baye Fitz' mid range jumper that could be something.

I agree with this and not because I think Fitzgerald or Pledger are bad players. I just think their is way too much negativity associated with them. I thank them for their hard work, I truly wish I were 1/2 the athletes they are and I wish them well but I think their graduating is a step in the right direction for the program.

I will always welcome those guys back. I can assure you the capel era would have been much worse without them.

Agree with this...but potential is running its course. M'Baye is showing that he most likely won't repeat what Osby is doing this season.

Next year, if we don't make the tournament...you can blame it all on Clark and Neal. Just have your blame stick pointed at them. It doesn't matter that its Capel's player that is 1st team all conference. It will be better when Osby is gone.

Osby never played for Capel. He was not much different than Grooms or Arent. He did have to spend a year with that jack@$$ as his coach but he never had to play for the pathetic excuse of a Jay Z fan (I don't even want to call him a coach because he darn sure didn't coach anyone at OU).

Does the same apply for Cam and Neal? They're actually the last of the Capel recruits.

Does Capel not go to his concerts or buy the albums?

I'm not blaming anyone for anything. I don't blame Fitz for being slow and limited athleticly. It isn't his fault. I think he has accomplished quite abit through hard work and determination in spite of his marginal skills.

Winning consistantly or at a high level with players so one deminsional isn't possible. And I have never thought it was.

On any knock that I have every had on the type of players Capel brought in has always been preferenced with "the exception of Osby". Osby never played for Capel. And since Kruger's 1st day Osby has been on board with his coach trying to stamp out that infectious and festering culture of losing spawned in the Capel era.

Osby is Capel's player....don't be in denial. All Capel did was praise Osby and say that his best player was on his bench.

Kruger has stated that M'Baye was his best player...and thats not even close to being true.
