Football question

How is there nothing special about a 65 yard touchdown run against a CFP semifinalst or a 43 yard run to ice the game against Tennessee?
i mean go back and watch the runs.
I'm not sure what else to say.

Even if I grant you the 3 plays you have mentioned as being special...that is 3 plays in a season lol

I think we are all in agreement that they won't BOTH become Barry Sanders. One will be Barry and the other Thurman. And Hatton gives me bigger, faster, stronger Adrian Peterson vibes.
Avant is a slightly bigger Earl Cambell

Nobody is saying we had a good run game this year, but if you don't find 60 yard TD runs against top 5 teams impressive, I'm not sure you'll ever be impressed.

But I do agree with Wichita that none of our RBs are in the conversation for greatest of all time.

And pretty easy to realize that the production someone has shown to this point is a decent predictor of what’s to come. X and Blaylock aren’t going to wake up and be Barry Sanders tomorrow.
If this is the high standard we have to meet, you’ll never be happy. Nobody in college football has a Barry sanders. Nobody. Good grief.

And if you took this literally, I can’t help you. You’ve all been arguing that adding a couple blocking tight ends and one potential starting lineman is enough to improve the run game and negates the need to find a starting quality back. We obviously don’t need Barry but we sure need an Eric Gray or Kennedy Brooks or someone who can make unblocked defenders miss occasionally. I’d settle for Hollywood Smothers, but, well, DeMarco probably wouldn’t play him
