Football question

I may be the only one who notices this, but it annoys me. We need to learn to play offense that is complementary to our defense. A few times this season I've seen the O rush to the line and snap the ball needlessly before the quarter ends. Go to the sideline. Let those seconds tick away. When you've got a great defense, do everything you can to shorten the game.
Yeah, it seems like they can get away from that. OU won TOP against UM, was behind pretty significantly against Auburn. Not saying that is most important factor but does help on margins, especially with depth on DL being such a positive for OU.

Speed is a tactic but think it can be over utilized, especially when the defense is the strength of the team.

That dude must be one tough SOB. Ball looked good coming out of his hand all afternoon, and he took plenty of shots on the keepers.
Next man up. Sheesh.

They’ve said 3+ weeks. Another report said this particular injury is usually one month from date of surgery.
Fair enough. Is this a loss? Obviously yes. But, this just highlights how bad the offensive line and running game is. Just pathetic.

Hawkins absolutely has the ability to make the throws Mateer has made. Let’s see if Arbuckle is worth is million dollar salary and has him ready.

Everyone should go to DirtBurglars and read ictsooner7 posts and tell me that’s not WichitaSooner.

Likely back for Texas.

The Texas game is in 2.5 weeks. That would be a borderline miracle since he's having surgery tomorrow. We can hope he can go against South Carolina, but I'm guessing Mississippi is the more likely scenario. The guy is obviously a tough SOB since he broke his hand in the 1st quarter and kept on playing...but we all know the coaches will make the final decision on the return date.

Also, adrenaline is an amazing thing. It’s not all that rare for guys to be able to keep playing for the rest of the game after getting hurt, but once the adrenaline wears off, it’s different. Plus bones tend to have a pretty standard timeline for healing so I’d guess they have a good idea of what they are looking at.

I’ve seen comparisons to an Indiana QB who played in 12 days after similar surgery. Also being compared to Carson Wentz surgery, who played 11-12 days after surgery. I don’t know if Mateer specific injury and surgery are the same or similar but many are saying it’s possible to return for texas. I am less optimistic because I have PTSD from last year.

I don't know how anybody not in the know is predicting a time frame, given what bone is broken in his hand probably impacts recovery. And I haven't seen the specifics reported anywhere.

Are you going to the RRS?
Can't remember if I ever told you, but we were on the same shuttle after the game one year. Didn't really have a chance to say anything to you. The SD baseball hat gave you away. :)
Say "HELLO" next time! Go Padres !!
