X robinson might be the best RB of the group imo. People need to not discount him
i'm not ready to write off tatum either. he showed outstanding potential last season.
just needs to hold onto the ball. sounds like he's still nursing an injury.

cast on arm .. now down to soft cast .. he should be ready sooni'm not ready to write off tatum either. he showed outstanding potential last season.

I've rarely heard a player called out more directly by OU media members (including ones who actually know the game) than Tatum for his lack of knowledge of the playbook. It sounds like the guy rarely knew his own assignment. If Ott can't get on the field, it's hard to see Tatum getting much run after missing this much time, unless he has done a 180 in his prep work.i'm not ready to write off tatum either. he showed outstanding potential last season.

at this point i almost expect ott to stop playing .. and take a RS yearI've rarely heard a player called out more directly by OU media members (including ones who actually know the game) more than Tatum for his lack of knowledge of the playbook. At some point (I would argue it should happen very soon), we need to whittle it down to only playing three guys. The other two should only play if we have injuries or are playing Kent State. IMHO, those three would ideally be Blaylock, X, and Ott. If Ott doesn't figure stuff out, then I guess I could live with Barnes getting a few snaps in specific situations. But trying to play five guys in conference? No thanks.
I think that is what is happening with Everett too.at this point i almost expect ott to stop playing .. and take a RS year
Some captain if trueI think that is what is happening with Everett too.
Lost his starting job. Wants to play somewhere next year. Injury excuse to redshirt.
We'll see.
You might be right but he would really risk whatever chance he has of playing in the NFL if he does that. He is already coming off a lost season due to injury. If he bails on his team and/or isn’t healthy enough, that’s another major red flag. And running backs have such short shelf lives that you’d think he would do whatever he can to avoid having to come back for another season.at this point i almost expect ott to stop playing .. and take a RS year

I think we’ll know within the next couple weeks if he is going to be a meaningful part of the team. If he hasn’t worked his way into a prominent role before Texas, it’s hard to see it happening unless someone else goes down. Then again, it’s impossible to predict our running back room so who knows.
he was actually very hurtI think that is what is happening with Everett too.

It was telling that everette didn't travel even though other injured players did.
