Sounds like from our scrimmage thread that there are a group of folks that would attend the scrimmage if it were in the MFH but that don't want to drive/walk to the LNC (it is around a mile from the stadium each way).

Could you see if marketing could provide shuttles to and from the stadium? And could you see if they would go around announcing that on gameday? Might get some more folks to attend.

Just a thought.

I'm under the impression that shuttles run constantly from LNC to the stadium on game days. LNC is the primary parking for people coming in off #9.

Yeah I guess I did know that. But maybe they could offer an extra shuttle that would take people specifically to and from the scrimmage...

i still wouldn't go even if there was a quick shuttle if it's at 3 at the lnc

There is a continuous loop from the LNC to the dorms, like every game, pretty sure they'll do the same type of marketing as they did this past weekend

Tough weekend for a scrimmage with such a massive game in town. Lots of people will be sauced.

With so many people around the Field House with the Gameday set and of course the stadium why would you want to hold an event so far away? I'm not sure how many attended the last scrimmage but 2-3,000 looks a whole lot better in the Field House than in LNC. Maybe someone is new to OU basketball and seeing a full arena would only help with their perception as well as that of the #1 recruit in the country.

This may not be the case anymore, but on football gamedays they used to use the Fieldhouse for other tailgating/fan activities. Pretty sure the Touchdown Club used to set up shop out front. I know they already had one scrimmage there, but just something to think about.

I think some of you are forgetting how many people park and tailgate at LNC for football games. At least, they used to, I assume that is still the case. Yes, holding it at LNC might not get you the students and people that are tailgating on the North side of campus, but it should get you some people from the South end.
