Hey, Sooner fans. @fastpp3 is going electrify Lloyd Noble. Watching him scrimmage Hoop Summit USA team & he's tremendous. Arrives in '16.

He's going to be special. We're talking another 18 months before he wears a Sooner uniform. It seems so long away…...

Too bad OU can't sign him right now. Hope none of the blue bloods come calling.

Yeah long ways away.

Stink to think he won't ever play with Buddy, Spangler, or Cousins.

I think he's solid. Legacy + his sister going to OU + family in the area...

Have seen some comparisons to TJ McConnell from Arizona. That would be great if true. He was a stellar college player.

Lon needs to land an elite big to pair with him. Should be working overtime on that.

Payton hopes to lead his high school team to their fourth consecutive 6A state championship this fall. He will also be going for his third straight Oregon 6A Player of the Year honor. He averaged 22.1 points, 5.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game as a sophomore when he was selected for his first POY title.

So, yes, a special young man is on his way to OU!

Definitely awesome to a get a recruit of this high caliber, especially since he's likely a 4 year guy given his size. We could be getting Scottie Reynolds, just a decade after the fact.

Reynolds is not a bad comparison. There are a lot of similarities in the two.

I, too, think Payton may be a four year player. But I wouldn't rule out the possibility that he could get a shot at the NBA someday, especially if he grows another two to three inches. I posted an article not long ago that quoted longtime and highly respected recruiting analyst, Eric Bossi, as saying that Payton has NBA potential. It will be interesting to see if he's that good?
