Payton hopes to lead his high school team to their fourth consecutive 6A state championship this fall. He will also be going for his third straight Oregon 6A Player of the Year honor. He averaged 22.1 points, 5.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game as a sophomore when he was selected for his first POY title.
So, yes, a special young man is on his way to OU!
