+1

Sorry about that 1390. I deleted my thread about Frank and moved my post over here.

What a performance by Frank Booker! He came up big today with 17 points on 4 of 8 shooting from three. He made all 5 of his free throws, plus he logged a rebound, 2 assists and 2 steals. He also played well on defense.

Frank is really playing well of late, and with Buddy struggling the last two games, it couldn't have come at a better time.

Lol no problem Ada..guess it's the great minds think alike theory...
Like someone said in another thread amazing what happens when injuries clear up and you see that ball through the basket..no coincidence either that he's playing well defensively..confidence will do it..he would be that guy off the bench giving the team a spark if need be with some instant offense
That in turn would give both the rest of the team and the coaching staff confidence that even if they weren't playing well early to not hang their heads and keep battling. Plus since his defense is better you don't feel like you are sacrificing offense for defense

Booker has really come through for us lately. I'm glad he is getting over that sophomore slump.

That bounce pass assist was as good as I've seen this year from anyone.

That pass was a thing of beauty! It also resulted in two important points.

I have no idea if 17 points was a personal high for Frank at OU? But, IMO, this was the best game he has played overall since he arrived on campus.

Frank Booker scored 15 points his freshman season in the big road win at Stillwater on February 15, 2014. He never scored in double digits again the rest of that season.

A year later and now a sophomore, I think Frank has some more big positive contributions to give to the team this season.

I think it's the other way around: The buckets come easier when the back feels better.

I really don't think his back was his issue most of the year. I just think the game is finally slowing down for him, and confidence is a wonderful thing for a shooter.

I don't agree. Frank's play earlier in the season was clearly affected by his back problems. He just "looked" like he was in pain. His shot looked bad and so did his normally competent defense.

Of course, that's just my opinion. Yours is just as good.

Major back issues. All the way into January.

He's doing much better now.

Major props to Frank. He is playing like most of us thought he would these last couple of games.

I thought that, too, at first, until I saw him getting treatments on the sideline. A couple of posters who have connections to the program also confirmed it.
