On the flip side...my team blew an 8 point 4th quarter lead this weekend in a tournament and lost. I obviously suck.


It's tough to get guys up for every game. There are so many variables. To me it's one of the harder things to do as a coach. You can't "rah rah" them to excitement every game. You hope there is some self motivation too.

But, I can't recruit to fix any of our shortcomings either. LOL

Do you guys play with a shot clock? They finally adopted one in Kansas this season … although it’s experimental so won’t be used in the postseason (even when they do something right, they mess it up lol).

I'm in Texas now (moved back from NC) and we do not use one. There was talk but no. I don't know how much that would really help my team per se....we try to play fast anyway. Our biggest strength is running the floor. We aren't blessed with great size or great shooters but we transition well. Unfortunately we moved up a class and got put in a reallllllly tough district this year. We'd be a playoff team in our former classification..but it's a much tougher hill to climb this year.

Well, they are 13-0 for the first time in over 30 years so I'll take that. Let's not act like even the best teams look uninspired at times.
This team is gritty and finds a way to win even when they aren't playing well, which is a good quality to have.

This PVAM team was only down 5 vs Houston at the half. So does Kelvin suck?

I do agree I'd like to see them put teams away earlier though.
