Ray Willis its like my whole world is changing around me, next week im sure my life will never be the same from the decisions I have made...

From facebook.

Wow! Don't know if that confirms the transfer rumor or something else is troubling him? Either way, I hope things work out for Ray.

surely that was just about the choices he made while grocery shopping.

"Cleaning house" would not be a great thing for the program, IMO.

Of Course an OSU Fan doesnt think cleaning house is a good thing. If we clean house and get good character guys that will work hard then the won't be able to beat us next year. We need to clean house, have a roster of guys that are hard workers on defense, and are willing to do anything to help the program win.

On a personal level, it seems as though Ray really wanted to be here and had heart, he's just not an OU level talent. I wish him the best of luck in everything he does and I hope he can find success at a lower level school.

I would love to see this kid transfer, go to a mid major ala Georgia St. or Georgia Southern and turn himself into a nice basketball player. He can use that transfer year to get better and stronger.

Ray is a good guy. I won't celebrate that he's leaving. I'm disappointed it didn't work out.

I feel the same way.

I am not too excited about cleaning house and I am an OU fan. It would be about like trying to rebuild a program, ask Indiana how that is going.

The thing is Ray Willis, Kyle Hardrick, and O. Allen will never get significant time at OU. So it's better for both parties, OU and these guys to make a split.

We have to have someone on the court.

This,

If we lose all the players being talked about then Ray will likely be better than a good percent of who we would be in on at this point. As far as I am concerned Ray with 2 years left is better than someone with the same or less level of skill for 4 years. Unless Ray has discipline or grade problems he should only leave if he really fells better somewhere else. Loyalty is a two way street. Just my .02.

I still don't see why Hardrick gets lumped into this group? Orlando and Ray have been at OU and have proven that they are not going to contribute, but each has something that they could offer to another school. Ray still has two years that he could be a starter at a small school. Orlando only has one, but his size could be very valuable to any small school lacking a big man.

But Hardrick just got here. He loves OU. He hasn't even had a shot yet. I could see him working his butt off, gaining some muscle and being a guy that could come in off the bench and help us a couple of years from now. I don't think he should be written off yet. It's one thing when a guy from another part of the country takes a chance, it doesn't work out and they transfer close to home. But Hardrick is a local kid from Norman that played on Athletes First. I don't think we need to be screwing over kids from Athletes First. We need to continue to try to get kids from that crew, not giving OSU and others a reason to negatively recruit against us.

At least Ray can rebound.

Based on this comment, I don't think anyone would expect you to apologize. You act like Ray had everything laid out there for him to be a great player already. I'm pretty sure he agreed to play 4 years at OU. Explain how he has blown his chance in only 2 years?

It may not be fair to lump Hardrick into that group, but it's reality. Every team can have a Orland Allen/Hardrick type big man on the roster, when Allen moves on, keeping Hardrick won't be too big of a deal.

Wish Willis the best whether it's here or elsewhere.
