WVU/K-State is just as unwatchable and foul-plagued as you would imagine.

OU should be able to smoke that press.

Those officials are inept. All manner of weird calls and things they've missed (the goaltending at the end of the half, to name one).

Pretty sad that WVU's press should be causing KSU to turn the ball over more but WVU had at least 10 TOs in the first half...

These teams like to ugly it up.

You said it. Switched over to Butler/Xavier. I have been flipping back to check the score and just about every time that I come back to that game....one team is shooting a FT. K-State up 2 with just under 10 left.....ugly.:facepalm

I've stayed with the WVU@KSU game. It is ugly but I knew it would be just from the nature of these two teams. Combined FT shooting is currently 19-38 so I guess it makes sense why both teams are fouling. KSU leads 59-56 at 5:45 left.

Edit: FT shooting is now getting better (26-45). 63 all at 3:41.

Edit: crazy play at 1:07 where WVU guys hangs and pulls himself up by rim following a foul call miss. KSU misses technical foul and WVU hits one of the FTs. Now 69-67 WVU at 21.1 with KSU shooting 1-1.

Edit: going to OT at 69 all.

K-State/WVU is now getting good down the stretch. 65-64 KSU with 2:13 left

Heading to OT in Manhattan. Conference play is going to be nuts again.

Agreed. The end of the football season for OU and OSU was downright depressing, to say the least. I'm glad it's over so we can focus our attention on the #1 college sport in America: Basketball!

There were several teams that I was unsure of coming into conference play....K-State, Tech, and Baylor. I felt like all three had an inflated non-conference record and I wanted to see what they really had once conference play began. I don't like one or two game samples, but having seen all of them play several times in OOC and now seeing them play a conference game, I thought I could share what they appear to be as of now.

So far, Tech looks like they are a nice team and with some luck, could fight for a 5th place finish in the conference. But I still see them in the 7-11 or 8-10 range. They will challenge most teams in Lubbock, but we will have to prove it on the road.

K-State is so much better than I thought they would be, but they just don't have the talent skill after losing so much in the offseason. But I do expect them to upset a team or two in Manhattan. They are probably 5-13/6-12 range as of now.

Baylor is a team that, IMO, could fall to the lower half of the conference (8-10/9-9)....not because they are getting run today in Lawrence, but because they were beaten soundly by the two best teams that they played coming into today. They have talent, but I just have been very underwhelmed with them after seeing them play 4-5 times this year. And let's not forget who their coach is either.

I know it's what they do but don't play 2/3 zone against KU :facepalm

KU is looking good. It's conference time.

OSU goes to Baylor Tuesday. I may only be happy for 2 days.

So only WVU breaks serve today. That was not really an upset (I had that game even and it was) but that was a good road win for them.

This is going to be one fun season.
