Has it really been 10 years?

I noticed that I have been a member of the forum since 2008, and since I was a Founding Father that means the board was created in 2008.

Hard to believe I am still on here talking basketball with you guys/gals after 10 years.

Even harder to believe that in that time I haven't been able to convince everyone on the forum that I am right about everything.

The board may be older than that. I recall a big kerfuffle when a glitch ran everyone’s post count to zero and dropped us all to recruit or something like that. It may have changed our join dates to the day of the glitch.

Anyone else recall something like that?

Yes it has, BT! The early years when mods like you, the bigabd, MsProud and a half dozen others were adding members by the hundreds created more excitement than I thought possible.

We all have OUHoops to thank for fulfilling his dream to launch a fan board dedicated to OU basketball. That was ten years ago this month— in October, 2008. I believe it was the 28th.

Well said, Ada! On top of all that, you seemingly made all the other OU Boards a ghost town on the basketball boards. Most of the initial posters (and all the Mods) came from OUInsider, a site that had a LOT of basketball fans thru the 2008 season. Now, you see it merged with gymnastics, wrestling, and all the other sports.

wow. ten years ago, I was 23, fresh out of college, freshly married, with zero kids.
Now I'm 33, been married ten years, good secure job, with 4 kids.

Heres to the next ten...which hopefully is just as fruitful for everyone and includes a national title or two...

Wow, I can't believe it has been that long. I don't get on here much but when I do, it is always a joy to read some of the posts that are up and for all the vets on here that started this from day one, thank you for your dedication to keeping this thing going. :woot:chestram2:
