@Eddie_Rado: Lon Kruger has been eating lunch in the OU cafeteria, talking hoops with students.

I was about to post this. This is really exactly what we need to get excitement back to OU basketball. Get the students involved.

Good for LK. He has some really cool ideas.

Boren was right he better be glad he didnt have to run against him, he will get more money donated to the bball program than we could ever have dreamed of.

I need to get my a** over to the cafeteria...but it is a bit overpriced for those of us without meal plans.

Is he a Logan's, O'Connell's or Seven47 guy?

Important question.

That is totally cool. How can a student not go to games when a coach cares that much!

:clap:clap:clap Coach Kruger!

Wow, that is freaking cool. Just another reason to ask my freshman buddies to take me to the caf more.

Being a leader in the Top Daugs (formerly Capelables), I did speak with him briefly after the press conference and he was very cordial and immediately started bouncing ideas off me about how the students could get involved, not me begging for us to get an open practice like previous years.

I was very, very impressed with Lon Kruger the man.

I am extremely impressed with Coach Kruger's marketing and public relations savvy. He seems to know exactly what buttons to push to get people involved and to create a sense of ownership that, to my knowledge, has never existed before.

Eating in the cafeteria is a great way to connect with students. I have a feeling the Top Daugs are going to be very excited about having LK around this fall. He may not wear a red wig or paint his body like Bruce Pearl, but he will let them know that their dedication and hard work are appreciated.

My wife and I are buying season tickets this year for the first time. Granted we've only been back in Oklahoma for 2 years and have 3 little girls, but this is the first time she's been excited about OU BB season tickets. She is IU born, bred and educated, so it's a tough sell compared to IU BB, but she's so impressed with Kruger that she wants to go to games now. We won't be able to make every game, but I'll make sure we get tix to people who will definitely go.

I love this guy! He is going to bring this program back to where it belongs and he is going to fill Lloyd Noble, I have no doubt in my mind!
