Heard a rumor

Sat with a couple of former players the other day who don't like one bit that senior day is not the final home game. I'm not sure I like it, either. Much better like this:

Senior day the last Saturday home game makes it a lot easier on player's families to take part in the ceremonies.

We did it the same way last year, when we had seniors who hailed from Mississippi, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and I think either California or Colorado? (Arent).

In a couple years we will have seniors from New York, Texas, Oklahoma, and the Bahamas.

^ This! I'm sure that if WVU had been on a Saturday they would've done it then. The great part is that we have Texas as our final Saturday home game. It just lines up really well and has the potential to be quite the send off!

I agree whole heartedly, but gotta take those baby steps. This program was at a big time low, and as good as we have been in the past this will always be a FBall school first. When we have a terrible program like we did, people won't come, but Lon and the boys are building something worth watching. You're right, true fans cheer em' on no matter what, but I wonder how many true fans we have ever had?

To add to the "rumors" or better yet, things I didn't know that May have been posted elsewhere:

1. This Saturday will Senior Day! Smart move Lon!
2. Romero Osby will be in attendance!

I'm so pumped for this game and being there in person for the first time in my life. I've always rooted from a distance, but finally will be there on Saturday.

Any chance he might play?

That would be pretty awesome! Remember when he just took over in Norman last year when we played? He was dominant!! Here's the link and a few quotes from the ESPN article:
http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/gamecast?gameId=330210201&version=mobile

"Osby scored a career-high 29 points, Amath M'Baye had three rim-rattling dunks among his 15 points and Oklahoma snapped a six-game losing streak in the rivalry by beating Texas 73-67 on Monday night."

"Osby scored 21 of Oklahoma's 33 points during a 14½-minute chunk in the middle of the game, powering the Sooners (13-4, 4-1 Big 12) to their first win against the Longhorns since he transferred from Mississippi State."
