if Goff doesn't make it to OU?

I'd have to think that will change things a bit. I don't expect him to be great, but I do expect him to be able to contribute off the bench, more effectively then Washinton/Thompson were this year. I think him not making it on campus would be a pretty big blow.

If we dont get the kid from KS or Jurick.. then its decent blow to our depth and defense. Too early to tell.

Honestly I place very little importance in Goff making it/not making it here when it comes to expectations for 2011-12.

I would be shocked if Goff made that much of an impact if he makes it here.

If he does have an impact I think it would be much more evident in 2012-13, not 2011-12.

Not much of an impact in my mind. I think we would have been improved with no new players. Just another year of experiance for everyone and Osby coming in. To me, we needed a true ballhandling point guard in order to take it to another level. Who knows, but maybe Grooms is that guy.

Certainly, if Goff comes and is good enough to beat out CJ, Thompson and Fitz for the 5, then he would have made an impact. Just not sure how to quantify it. Again, the issue for me was at the point position.

Honestly, I don't expect a lot from Jucos (and freshmen) their first year.

They have to be really special to be major contributors (that or the team really stinks).

Well, he is athletic and big. Thats about all you can say about him based on what we know.

It is unknown how much better he is than Nick Thompson, Barry honore, and CJ Washington though.

I will not be moving any closer to the edge of the cliff if Goff does'nt make it to OU.Kruger will find a replacement so i am really not concerned.Go Sooners!!!!
