First time I've been to GIA, has anyone been there? I wish Aggy was decent so I could see what their "rowdiest arena in the country" hoopla was all about. :eddie187_jpg_xs: It would be awesome to get out of there with a win, and I like our chances.

I went to a bedlam game in GIA when they had Joey Graham, Tony Allen, etc and it was the loudest arena ive ever been in.

When it's rocking, it's really loud and the floor shakes.

If your seat is in the upper section, don't forget your seatbelt.

I drove up from Norman for the free game due to icy conditions.

I have never been in the remodeled place but was in the original place around 10 times for the OU game plus a few other OSU games. I'm guessing we were 6-4 during those games which is not bad. My least favorite is when Chuckie Barnett tried for the reverse dunk and missed it. My favorite is when David Little silenced their crowd.

Cool, you and about 6,000 other people will have a great time. Could be the most pathetic Bedlam in recent memory.

That is the worst arena I've ever been in. I've been twice for the women's basketball team, and this year will likely be my 3rd (and last) :-( It may benefit the home crowd, but it's a terrible setup, and the technology in the building needs to be updated.

worst sight lines of any arena in america ... horrible place to watch a basketball game unless you are in the first 5 rows

I've went once and our seats were in the upper deck. It literally feels like you are walking straight up to get to the seats and are on top of the court. Many years ago that place was rowdy, now not so much.

I had some buddies go to the game where their AD "bottled the magic" in the final game of the old GIA and they proceeded to go out and lose to OU. Man I wish I could have been there for that one.

that is my favorite OU basketball memory of all time. I know there have been bigger games, but beating osu at old GIA, on its final night, was so awesome.

No matter what happens when you leave, OU will still lead the all-time series by over 30 games. As I posted last week, it's 127-93, in OU's favor, as of right now. :clap :clap

That is how I felt sitting up high in the old GIA. It was very steep. I have not been to the new GIA but would assume the pitch is the same only you are even higher off the floor.

I've never actually sat in the upper section. But the new addition seems to be at an even steeper angle.

I went in '06 and '09 and we won both. When they suck their crowd is pretty tame.

I remember that '06 season I went to OU/KU at Phog on Big Monday and then turned around and went to OU/OSU at GIA on Wednesday.

Allen Fieldhouse blew GIA out the water. I understand it used to be different when OSU was good, but there seriously was no comparison. I even got more crap talk from the KU fans than OSU.

The 3rd section is much worse than the middle section. We've had seats on the 12th row of the middle section (used to be upper section) for 30 years. Love those seats.
