Do you?

Check out this little OU gem jab in his "A roundup of the Big 12's offseason":

Then again, if Gillispie ever gets discouraged, all he has to do his remind himself that he's not Lon Kruger. Kruger will feel Gillispie's pain and then some. Not only is the veteran coach inheriting a cratered roster -- a far cry from the high-flying days of Blake Griffin (and considerably less-high-flying days of his brother, Taylor) -- he's doing so as the NCAA prepares its findings into assistant coach Oronde Taliaferro's alleged arrangement of a loan for former one-year bust Keith "Tiny" Gallon. Those findings remain uncertain, but whatever happens, Sooners hoops will be hamstrung for years to come.

Whatever happens we will be hamstrung for years to come? Please. The penalties that OU and the NCAA investigators suggested to the infractions sector of the NCAA are more than likely going to be all that results from this.

I am willing to bet that OU will actually do MUCH BETTER on the recruiting trail when those bastages at the NCAA finally resolve this thing. We can finally move on. The damage has already been done during the past two recruiting seasons where we've had a dark cloud over our head.

Probation, loss of one 2011 scholarship, and loss of some recruiting visits are going to be a huge step up compared to what Capel and now Kruger have had to deal with during this "investigation".

Can there be any doubt that the delay in assessing the penalty is a backhanded way of punishing OU in addition to those that will be handed out formally? Were any facts ever in dispute? Havent those facts been established from the first? Why then the delay unless it is indirectly punish?
