If a 4 game win streak can save a job, can a streak the other way lose it?

Maybe if we lose every game the rest of the year it'll be looked at. But I doubt it.

Looking at our schedule, that's a very real possibility. We could maybe beat Tech on the road and OSU at home, but I could easily see us losing them both.

Probably stating the obvious, but you are clearly pulling against OU, in the hopes that you will be right on Capel.

Why do you guys think it will be mass exodus if the coach leaves? Coaches leave all the time and players are retained.

Fitz and Pledger are starters.. they probably arent going anywhere. Neal isnt going anywhere. I doubt Clark leaves, because technically he is pretty close to home where he is and is a lock to start.

I for one didn't say it would definitely happen, but it is very possible that all 3 would leave.

I think we could probably kiss any chance we have with Cezar goodbye as well.

I made my decision to support Capel for one more year a few weeks ago and I am going to stick with that decision. OU has a respectable core of players in Clark, Fitzgerald, Pledger, Blair, and Neal. Newell and Washington can give minutes. The Sooners add Osby and Goff. That combined with a year of experience should make a difference. I think a coaching change is a mistake but I will not support Capel after next season if he does not have a winning conference record.

I'm fairly certain that if I attacked Adasooner, Soonersam, or Bigtime like this I would be banned.

Those aforementioned posters don't go in hiding when OU wins. Since you do, that would make you a troll in some eyes, and trolls tend to be treated differently than others. Post when OU wins, and you'd be treated differently...that much I'm sure of.

+1 Gotta make the tourney next year. Honestly, I think he resigns if we don't before he gets fired.

I doubt it, there is a lot of money at stake. Why resign and lose your contract. Now they might negotiate a buyout where he technically resigns rather than get fired but I doubt he just resigns.

I've been regularly posting with a lot of these guys (win or lose) since around 2004.

I do hate that we are loosing but i do enjoy everyone coming after my buddy thebigabd. Its comical and very good entertainment for me. Keep it up guys.

I think he's talking about your week-long hiatus after you moved to your new home and didn't have electricity or what-not.

He's misinformed because you have been posting on OUI before this board for a long time.

Oh, ya. Moved into the new house on Monday the 31st, 3 hours after I closed the front door the storm struck. I had to sit around for a damn week with no tv and no internet!

Man, that sucked. Also makes it hard to believe its 70 outside today just a couple of weeks later.

i think this site is about to blow up with all the contrasting opinions.. its like watching Springer

This would be a terrible business decision on Jeff's part.

didnt think of that. Good point. I guess I was trying to say Jeff will know that his time is up if he doesnt make the Tourney next year.

Did we ever get this figured out? For some reason I think it is contracted out to a 3rd party and OU gets a lump sum for guaranteed cash flow purposes.

I think Pledger would go back east, possibly Fitz as well. They've got two years plus their redshirt to burn. Clark is most definitely gone IMO.

Another poster posted this in that old thread where the concessions were discussed:

The concessions ARE contracted out, but in the last bid, OU food services beat out Aramark and others to secure the concessions contract... so it IS OU, but is still contracted out... lol.

So, I was right that Aramark is not involved, but it is technically contracted out to OU food services, which I would guess falls under the general budget of the University or the AD. Either way, if the concessions lose money since they are contracted out to a division of the University (or AD), then OU is losing money.

Welcom to winter in Denver. People don't believe that it is common in Denver to go to lunch in the middle of winter without a jacket just as it is common to not want to go outside because it is so cold.

That does suck that you had no TV and internet. Was it truly a week? The longest storm I experienced in Denver last three days. Over 36 inches of snow fell everywhere in the city and some places were probably pushing 4 feet. Roofs failed all across the city and not just old ones. I think that was 2003.
