We have a better shot at winning the necessary games (10 in conference) and sliding in that way, then winning the Big 12 Tourney.

9-7 might get us in to the NCAA if we win 2 games in the big 12 tourney
10-6 will get us in. The Big 12 is too strong and 10-6 would be around 4th place

be absolutely ecstatic and call it a day. honestly, i would love to make the tourney. but one and done wouldn't help this team. making a deep run in the nit like baylor did last year would go a long way to getting us back on track next year. it's like a crappy football team going to a bowl game in which they get another month to practice.

If we can get to 9-7 and A@M/Missou looses a bad game that will put us right around 4 or 5...getting to 9-7 would mean we would either have to beat K-state or OSU
Even me predicting 8-8, thats believing we will beat Tech, Baylor, and A@M...those are all teams that have already beat us...so I could also see an 6-10 finish but I sure hope not

Right now it is or on the fringe of being a tournament team. In November and December it was not. OU is a couple of minor breaks away from being 2nd in the Big XII. Furthermore, had they won in College Station and Lubbock I am not sure they lay an egg in Lincoln.

8-8 and a first round win in the Big 12 tourney should make them an NIT lock, which will be a good way for them to get some postseason experience in preparation for next season.
