I told my players not to believe the Kruger to OU talk. Turned them down twice. But hey, mofo, can I wet my beak? Lemme get that bread!!!

I see we found our first Capel loyalist/Kruger hater. Maybe if we keep repeating that Capel isn't coming back, he'll go away.

All signs point to this guy being an idiot.

Really, based on what? Read what I write, tell me why you think I'm wrong. I admitted you were right in another thread and gave you props. Truth is it came out later that same day he turned down the job. 3 days, 2 more offers, and 2.2+ million dollars later doesn't make posting a blind item with your source being an overheard phone call that a friend of a friend told you about any more meaningful that it turned out to be right.

As to this thread, it's pretty playful, I found a funny picture I wanted to use. And if it's inaccurate please let me know. Kruger didn't want to come here, told his players to ignore talk that he was coming here. Then we put so much money on the table he had to take it. Like it or not that's the story you have to tell your kids about Mom and Dad's first date. Deal with it. We'll see how he does, but win or lose he's got our money in his pockets and plenty of it.

I said it another thread, but it bears repeating: If Buzz Williams or Brad Stevens had come to OU, it would have been for the money, too.

The ONLY candidate who would have come to OU for sheer love of the university was Terry Evans. And the last coach we hired on those terms was John Blake. (Please note: I'm not comparing Terry Evans to John Blake -- I'm just pointing out that bleeding Sooner crimson doesn't ensure success.)

You know, Kruger has said lots of other things besides the fact that he turned down the job a couple of times. He said, for instance, that he's always wanted to return to this part of the country, for one thing. But those statements don't count?

It should be hard for a coach to leave behind his players and a program that's been good to him. I wouldn't want a coach who did that lightly.

Roy Williams turned down UNC once, too, and then later he accepted. How'd that work out?

Oh, and the picture you chose? It's not funny; it's puerile.

In all seriousness, why vilify Coach Kruger, it's human nature. Me and my wife live a modest life and are real happy where we're at, but if someone wanted to double our income(s), well hell, I'd likely do it as well. I'm not sure what you do for a living...would you (almost) double your income if given the opportunity?
