I'm here for the right reasons!

So long as he gives us our 2.2 mil worth I DON'T CARE! If he can't give us value for our money then we will move on.

I said it another thread, but it bears repeating: If Buzz Williams or Brad Stevens had come to OU, it would have been for the money, too.

The ONLY candidate who would have come to OU for sheer love of the university was Terry Evans. And the last coach we hired on those terms was John Blake. (Please note: I'm not comparing Terry Evans to John Blake -- I'm just pointing out that bleeding Sooner crimson doesn't ensure success.)

You know, Kruger has said lots of other things besides the fact that he turned down the job a couple of times. He said, for instance, that he's always wanted to return to this part of the country, for one thing. But those statements don't count?

It should be hard for a coach to leave behind his players and a program that's been good to him. I wouldn't want a coach who did that lightly.

Roy Williams turned down UNC once, too, and then later he accepted. How'd that work out?

Oh, and the picture you chose? It's not funny; it's puerile.

SKY! Perfect response...well said...

He had a good thing going in LV and it was going to get better. He had put in the time to grow a program, loved his players and loved what he had coming in. It took some persuading to get him to leave those things and start anew.
Same ol' catch 22. If Joe C. hadn't landed him, we'd have heard how he didn't care enough about men's hoops to pay the big money. Now that he's paid the big money, the coach only came here for the money.
