He has done a great job. He shot poorly at KSU and ISU but every other conference game has been very good to great. I think he is passing better and making more moves around the bucket. He also seems to be forgiving himself when he misses. He had a tendency to get down on himself.
He also used to do the same when he got his shot blocked. My one complaint about Manek to start the year was his demeanor. I said he needed to mature in that area and it's obvious he has finally done that. But I think overall he has just played a lot smarter. Like Reaves, he's sticking to what he does well and he's learned some new moves. I honestly can't remember the last time he got his shot blocked around the rim (although I've missed a couple games being on vacation). When he doesn't get upset and let blocks and misses affect his game, he is a really good player. The kind of player many thought he would be after his first semester freshman season.
