Depending on tonight's results with Iowa State, we are either going to be the 2 or 3 seed in Kansas City next week. I was just wondering everyones thoughts on who they would rather play in the quarterfinals. Either way, its an opportunity to 3-sweep a rival. The other side to that would be of who we would most likely meet in the semis....granting we win on Thursday. If isu gags this game away at TCU, then that would propel Baylor to the 3 seed. And that's who we would probably meet in the semi s on Friday. I don't know who we would match up with better in that case.

Personally, I think we match up with OSU much better and should dispose of them without much problem....but it is March and strange things happen.

I generally would not wish to risk the season sweep over the aggies with a third game against them, but I think texas is a tougher matchup for us (though, as you say, anything can happen this time of year -- there would be no guarantees against oswho).

I like either matchup and also like that neither would have a big fan base there.

TCU up by 6 over ISU at half.

One of our biggest weaknesses is not being very big in the post. Texas can exploit that and OSU can't. I would rather play the Pokes.

it seems we and other teams come out sluggish the first game in the big 12 tourney and the teams that play that first night, while usually poor teams, have a little more comfort in that setting. I don't think there's much difference perception wise in being the 2 or 3 seed right now, so I'd rather just play OSU both of us playing our first game than texas's size with a game under their belt.

and maybe I'm an idiot, but I give texas a good shot of knocking off Iowa st, and if we get past OsU there's a decent chance we'd be playing texas in their third game in a row.

I was thinking the same thing although it will be almost a home game for ISU....they travel extremely well to Kansas City. I just think Texas, although limited at the guard position, can give any team problems with their length. And if they're hitting from outside, then they become very dangerous.
