I don't think we will pass them. Honestly, I'm not too interested in our ranking at this point in the season. Maybe towards the end of the conference season.

As far as the "I don't care if we do/don't jump them in the rankings" argument: being ranked highly early in the season helps create voter bias. I know, it's a bad argument for who deserves what come tourney time, but a team that's ranked highly will get a mulligan where others don't. A loss to an unranked team on a hostile court (Tech?). A mollywhopping at home after a run of success (KU?). I want OU to run deeeeeeeep into the tourney; if the selection committee is slightly biased due to AP poll position throughout the season and/or perceived superiority of talent in a close conference race... well. Not like it's worked against us before...

Why do OU fans act like they are too cool to have fun?

I think it is great they stormed the court. I think it great the OU students tore down the goal posts after beating Nebraska my freshman year (1985).

While I'm generally not much for storming the court after beating an unranked opponent, I'd like to think part of the reason was the improbable comeback. Furthermore, I can't help but be a bit jealous of how loud their fans are...tough place for an opponent to win.

As for the rankings they currently don't bother me but that can change. It would be nice to have them ranked #1.

It is very embarrasing that a top 5 team in the country storms the court when beating an unranked team. I know it was their rival so they get a little pass but still...

I would guess Iowa State is the "OSU" of the state, but I don't know that for sure. I would rather go to school and play sports at Iowa over Iowa State. I don't like dressing up like a McDonalds French Fry box.
