I’ve wondered that as well. Because even when he gets back, he’s gonna have to work his way into the lineup. I’m sure we all thought he’d be back by now.

I will say if jones and Nwankwo both RS (Nwankwo would need a medical ) and both come back healthy that would be nice for next season ..

Issue is. All these 4 and 5 year seniors are going to be gone and Fears (if he keeps playing like this). It'll be another rebuild.

I will completely agree with you on that.

Theoretically I would prefer they not return because that would prove we made the tournament and made some noise. In theory of course.

Can someone enlighten me why we still have like 4 years in college when these guys are about to be employees?

Someone like Jason White (Dillion Gabriel too) could eat forever in CFB since the NFL has zero interest in them.

I think we may end up with players being on contracts in a year or two so you can know how many stay here for 2/3/4 years going forward. It'll probably be 2 year deals for the most part but maybe some 1. That will make it easier for teams to prepare longer term in the future. But it'll probably still always be broken to some extent. And when you get a player like Fears that is obviously gonna go pro early because he's just that much more athletic or Trae Young a few years ago contracts won't matter because they are going to the league. But maybe you can get cash back for those guys breaking those contracts for more talent.

Usually, if you make a deep run. Those players go off to the NBA. Sears for sure would if we made a deep run. That's who I was mainly thinking. Depending on how the others played.

ahh ok ... well yeah Fears i agree ... but miles jones and Nwanko coming back would have no relation to a deep run ..
