Man could we have used that guy. He would have fit in perfectly on our roster.

In his first game for UK last night, he scored 23 points in only 26 minutes. Was efficient shooting the ball. Had 15 rebounds.

This is LK's next big recruiting challenge. Bring in the a guy that is a game change on that level, from day 1. Put a guy like that with the quality depth that LK is building, and we might be able to make a run for that elusive NC.

I watched a little of the Kentucky game and I agree that Randle would have taken us deep in the NCAA this year.

He has a chance to be the next Blake Griffin. Kentucky is always going to get the Randles. You can't compete with someone who gets half of the top 10 players every year.

Hopefully a good investigative reporter will find out what is really going on at Kentucky. Getting that many top recruits every year is not reality.

Someone needs to investigate Oklahoma State if getting high profile recruits is the criteria.

Truth.

At least UK has titles to shows these kids..what exactly has ford done to warrant the huge boost in recruiting? (besides butch)

All Cal has to do now is point to the NBA when communicating with recruits. The elite kids in high school don't care about their college careers, they want to play in the league.

Talent finds talent. How big of a recruiting tool can Cal sending players to the league really be with guys like Randle? Those guys are going to the league regardless of where they make their pit stop.

And let's not pretend Cal is taking underrated recruit and developing them into lottery picks year in and out. Any coach in the country could point to the NBA talent they've produced had they been signing the best players in the country every season.

I can't stand Calipari but he does get his players to defend and play as a team. Not easy with kids looking only at the NBA.

No matter how many defend Cal it is not even close to logical that anyone can get half of the top ten players every year with programs like Duke, UNC, Kansas, Michigan State, Indiana, Syracuse, etc. going after the same players.

Cal and Kentucky are a match made in some place like heaven. Both have been caught cheating and Bobby Knight raged about Kentucky cheating when Joe B Hall was coaching there.

It matters to the kids.

I'm sure you're right. Those kids know that's they're chances of making the league drop drastically if they choose to play ball anywhere else.

How far did we make it on Julius' final list before he committed? I can't remember.
