I don't know why this game concerns me. K-State is dead last in the conference in scoring, by a rather wide margin. They lose by 9.2 ppg.

They are next to last in free throw percentage: 60.6%.
They are dead last in field goal percentage: 33.8%
They are eighth in three point percentage: 28.3%
They are next to last in rebounding margin: -7.7
They are second in steals and fifth in turnover margin.

There is absolutely no reason to think that Kansas State has a chance in this game. I said that in the last three games against OSU, Tech, and Texas, and K-State won every one. They even have a win over KU.

STARTERS:
G 5-10 Sr Ashia Woods
F 6-5 Soph Breanna Lewis
G 5-6 Soph Kindred Wesemann
G 5-9 Jr Brianna Craig
G 6-0 Fr Shaelyn Martin

RESERVES:
G 5-6 Sr Haley Tejeda
F 6-2 Soph Erica Young
G 5-8 Jr Deborah Meeks
F 6-2 Soph Jessica Sheble

Even after hitting 8 of 11 from three and scoring 25 against Texas, Wesemann is only shooting 35.6 from three and scoring 9.1 ppg. Brianna Craig, 411, and Erica Young, 421, are the only ones shooting over 40%. Wesemann and Tejada can hit free throws (80.0 and 65.0). The rest that we will see much of are 60% or worse. Woods, Lewis, and Martin are their rebounders: 6.9, 5.9, 4.8.

There is no reason to fear this team. I wonder why I am anxious about this game?

Probably because I believe they play exclusively a zone defense and try to slow the game down. They've also won 3 in a row (osu, TT, and tu). We need to be ready to play or it could be close all the way.

The ISU game was good practice for KSU since they played exclusively zone defense.

Yes. I was amazed nearing the end of the game and we had a 10-12 point lead and they continued their zone defense like they weren't trying to win the game. I don't guess I've ever seen that before!

I don't think this team will look past anyone the rest of the season. We will stay unbeaten at home Saturday, but if K-State can hit some outside shots, they can keep it close. I worry more about them at their place than at ours. We need to keep moving the ball, and have constant motion and we will be okay. A few thread the needle passes from Gioya and Maddie will keep the defense honest. I look for a double digit win at home.

I think the Sooners will win this one easily. Everyone plays.

With everything that is going on this weekend, there is a basketball game. Sherri said that the team would not be looking past anyone. It is down to time to be serious. On the show that arises from the restaurant, Sherri said that Bill Fennelly was her best friend in coaching. She said that she and Geno talk regularly. She said she learned a lot from both Capel and Sampson, about offense (Capel) and defense (Sampson). She and Lon are friends. She seems to study what everyone knows.

Love that we've been seeing zone a lot. We look more comfortable against it every game- Will pay off huge.

We can beat the zone two ways, quick passes to find the open shooter as well as dribble penetration. That should favor players like Gioya as long as she doesn't charga.

It's more like Sherri wants the game to be close. How often do you see McKenna at this point in the game? Sherri knows we should win, but I think she wants them to feel a bit uncomfortable.

At Baylor on Wednesday, and all that...

Two of KSU's turnovers have come via the shot clock.

OU starting to assert their obvious dominance.

Not serious I hope!

I think it would very unusual if Sherri is playing reserves to allow KSU to keep it close.
