Karron Johnson officially a no go

Surely Williams is done at OSU. Even if he is not convicted it is in everyone's best interest that he get a fresh start somewhere else.

I agree. But, I was just leaving that as a possibility of him coming back. If I had to guess, I'd say he's gone.

This is further proof that HCTF can't win without James Anderson.

I know this is a joke and everything, but even if OSU loses out this year, he'll still have a winning record overall without James Anderson.

Just sayin.

:)

It's a guarantee that he'll sign at least one post. Depending on what happens with D. Williams at his trial in March, he might sign two.

Thats why we have heard nothing about him recruiting Post players and all about him recruiting nothing but guards.

Even if he does bring in a late post player...it looks like Jurick may be the only good big guy left on the juco level and He will not fit in Ford's offense.

I said it before...Nash will be playing most of his minutes at the 4 and the 5. Its how Ford coach's. He's the same height as Moses. Like I said before...Maybe if Ford didn't run off Thomas, Adams, Kirkland, Akol and Walker....they wouldn't be in this mess. But thats what happens when you over recruit every year.

of all the coach's OSU's AD could have brought in...they bring in the one guy that would piss away the talent that Sean Sutton left. I know Ford made the tournament..but few guys wouldn't have with Eaton, Muonelo, and Anderson on the team. But unfortunately for them, instead of using Thomas, Brown, Adams and Moses in the post...they had to use Obi down low. They could have gone alot further in the tournament with Adams and Thomas.

Because he didn't need to recruit any posts because a month ago, the plan was (in theory) that Johnson and Williams would be on the team next year, now that both of them look like they won't suit up next year he has to start looking at posts.

And yeah, Teeng Akol and Torin Walker were the saviors of OSU basketball. They'll really regret letting those guys next year.

As far as Jurick (or anyone really) not fitting Ford's offense, Ford has played pretty slow the last two years. Middle of the pack or lower on pace according to kenpom. So, I don't know if that is his "new" style or if the lack of a good point guard has made the offense more methodical.

I mean, the guy played "traditional" fours and fives all year long, until Williams got busted. Pilgrim/Moses/D. Williams were at the 4 and 5 95% of the time this year. Yeah, Moses is short for a post player. But he's still a post player.

The last two years they just didn't have a post good enough to sit Obi down. Really think OSU should have started Anthony Brown over Terrell Harris or James Anderson or Keiton Page? Do you think Ford should have started Pilgrim and Moses and sit Obi down?

Just don't agree with your opinion about this at all.

They sent someone to watch Richardson the other day. No clue if that offer from two years ago still stands on Raney.

If I was a betting man, this is how I think it will turn out:

Penn leaves.

Sign another point guard, either hs or Juco. Maybe Guerrero (Bob Gottlieb said OSU is in good shape with him?) or a JUCO like Sam Grooms...although that will be a tough get.

Sign a JUCO big man. Heard they are on one from Chipola...strictly a rebounding/defense kind of guy. Anthony Brown level player. But, necessary with the lack of depth.

If Penn leaves, that would fill up the class. But, I wouldn't be surprised if Ford tries signing the best outside shooter he can find. There is also a rumor that Gulley's career might be over. His shoulder injury is THAT serious. That it's unfixable. Which would get him put on a medical scholarship, and free up another one.

Even if OSU were to get involved with Josh Richardson, it is to my understanding that there is still bad blood from the handling of his sister Alex at OSU. OSU is in really good shape with 6'7 combo forward Tony Kimbro Jr. of Murray State. The offer to Dominique Raney seems to be off the table and the PCO star has a new list that we'll unveil here soon.

What's Eddie Sutton doing these days? Besides tanning and drinking?
