He's off to a good coaching start. From what I hear, he's very aggressive on the recruiting trail. He's already signed one kid from Bixby and is targeting some more. Seems like SFA is embracing him to.

I remember joking about it years ago with Kelvin here. But could he be our next coach? Maybe not so soon. But in about 10 years he may be a good fit.

Honestly I would rather have Kellen than Kelvin right now. If Kelvin does anything wrong he could devastate any college program.

Kid is going to be a stud Coach. Has a great work ethic and a great basketball mind. Regardless of your thoughts on Kelvin, I think OU would be lucky to have Kellen as our coach in future. He will be the youngest coach in D-1 before too long.

Played against the guy in his dad's father son deal with my dad and thought kellen was kind of a tool.. I hope he finds success but I don't see it

Capel was once the youngest coach in D1. I'm sure he still goes to sleep every night resting on those invisible laurels.

He is a paid assistant at fairly decent sized school in his mid 20s and has lots of contacts through his dad. I don't see why you would doubt he could make it. I suspect he will.

If he's a tool, that's a good sign because most of the really good coaches are.
