Kornet

I think that with, Gioya and Manning in the Line-up you could consider us dominate. I firmly believe that- One loss with those two in the lineup, and technically, they weren't in the lineup.

LOL! While I disagree with your conclusions, I have to admire your enthusiasm. :)

I think the ACC is better this year. I can not say that very much. You mention the new ACC teams. Remember, Maryland just recently left for the Big 10. The SEC is better year in and year out now with A^M in it. I like our league just fine. I am sure not as high on Coale as you are.

Well. I guess that I have to admit that my evaluation of Sherri may be a bit premature. It's only based on nineteen years.

A really big fan of kornet but something is not right. What I don't have a clue

Nicole is a good player. She's a tough defender, but I don't believe she can defend the block like Sharane and she's not even in Maddie or Petyon's atmosphere on defending 2's and 3s. Those are elite defenders, they close down passing lanes with best, they play on the ball with the best and they close out on shooters, with the best.

Not enough is made of her efficiency in the Offense. She fits so well with Gioya and the rest of the team- she is one of the best passers in the country, her and Peyton are elite defenders, she is our second best scorer/creator and .

I think Laneisha, will be a good player once she finds a role, I think the coaches see that- So she need minutes. Peyton scored 16 pts last night and you didn't even notice, she's a scrapper- a critical piece- needs/deserves lots of minutes. You can't play Nicole at 1 or 5- Sharane, is a unsung- big bodied- physical defender- Watch the offensive players she guards, they are absolutely frustrated at the end of the game- needs minutes. And when Maddie plays 4 we are every bit as dynamic as Uconn, a team that can beat you in SO many ways- NEEDS MINUTES. Gioya- without saying- NEEDS MINUTES. So I personally don't see where Nicole fits- She's a good player, not a great fit IMO.

I would add Gioya as as defender of the caliber or Peyton...Maddie might be a little better because of her length, long arms. Gioya also is a great rebounder and runs the floor really well. She got back on defense to prevent a shot against Tx..it was just quickness and paying attention.

I see L. Williams as being like Gioya was last year. Started off preseason having some good games but now is just out of sync....She plays like Gioya. I don't think she will be as good as Gioya but it would be great if she were. It would be nice if she were to slow down and see the game as she plays this year, but it will probably be next year...and I hope she does just that..makes that adjustment.

IF Kornet can play the two and three and contribute then I would see her sharing minutes with Gioya, Peyton and Maddie. I mean the minutes are probably there but it just depends upon if Nicole can qualify for them. I always want a player who comes here to get to play. I really do not see that Nicole looks comfortable out there now. She also does not look as happy to me as last year. I don't think she leaves because I don't see her going to the W so why not stay here with her friends and graduate, while she is on scholarship. Maybe work really hard offseason to add to her game, to get more minutes, if playing is still important to her. Be a team leader off the court. Of course, she is young, in college, who knows what is going on with her. She seems to be pretty steady so I see her graduating and having a good life. Don't always see that with some of our players.....some I worry about after they leave here. Nicole will do fine.

That last paragraph about Nicole is exactly what I have been thinking.

Relax, Nicole. Don't force the issue when you get on the floor. Play smart.

I couldn't agree more. Maddie and Peyton are so deceptively smooth on defense, they just don't get their due, in my humble opinion. Gioya and Sharane may be the obvious, but Maddie and Peyton are their equal in what they do. Peyton plays the passing lane as well as any one I have seen and Maddie has those quick hands and long arms that give their opponents fits.

This. She is still important in the rotation, she just needs to slow down and play her game. Keep moving her feet and stay in front of her assignment.

Kornet needs tons of confidence and believe in herself right now.She also has to remember that her non conference performances are no fluke.

It can be hard to get in the flow of the offense if you are put in and pulled back out in just a few minutes. Particularly if you are pulled as a result of a mistake. I think that could be affecting Kornet. In the next game in which we get a big lead I hope she is put in and left in to see how it goes.

Three minutes, and the box score indicates absolutely nothing. Was that Nicole in there? She never does nothing. In 3:11, she can always manage to do something right or wrong---but nothing?

She has NEVER been consistent. She has unable to improve her game and performance. Probably the same in practice. Unless a miracle occurs, she's going to spend most of her time on the bench for the rest of her career, IMHO.

Fact is, she didn't/hasn't lived up to her pre-college rating. She has just been recruited over.

She's a great OU representative, she is always smiling and she has her moments.

I also believe she's a bit more interested in the college experience than playing ball. Just a bit. Perhaps it is the smile.
