I think he'll have to sit out one year and have one year left, unless he is able to graduate in May and then he'll have two years left and eligible immediately.

Not sure of my thinking.......it would just make sense to me that he would be able to play this year. Maybe not to the NCAA...?

Others are saying he has only one year left; but that doesn't make much sense to a team that needs immediate help.

I was kind of thinking/hoping this too, almost like as a hardship kind of thing. I also was thinking we wouldn't take a guy sitting out a year if we didn't know he'd be eligible?

It's still up to the NCAA but it's easier if the other school doesn't fight it

As I recall, the rule changed a year or two after we get Thomas and waivers are much tougher to come by now. Don't know if there is any realistic chance for him to graduate this spring/summer after having already transferred once, but if so, that would likely be his best bet to play right away.
