KU thugs at it again

You can take the thug out of Philly but...

Grotesque behavior.

Yes that was sick, I am glad no one was hurt with the verbal blows being thrown, Have you ever seen a fight or been involved in one?

When you get any opportunity to rip on Kansas, you take it. It's an unwritten rule around here. Thanks for bringing this up, 23.

The Fresh Prince's of Lawrence with Bill Self starring as Philip Banks and Brady Morningstar as Carlton. Only in this version the mom moves with her sons and gets set up with a 60k a year salary scanning groceries at Wal-Mart.

SO is this a step up or step down from fighting the football team??

Too bad the Morris twins didn't have their pellet guns with them or they could have taken sniper positions in the upper deck and shot at the Richmond players like they did from their dorm room window at KU.

It's a two sided affair, both teams were to blame, obviously KU has a track record so they're going to get a majority of the comments (and well deserved).

People don't like to hear it and it can reflect badly, but those guys have got each others backs. Richmond wanted to get chippy before the game, KU responded as a team in that hallway and on the floor by whooping their ass. Would love to see an OU team have that sort of bravado compared to the pushovers we've become.

no kidding.. these ku sympathizers are making me sick.. **** ku

Yep. And don't ever forget - if a KU player ever did pummel someone about the size of Pee Wee Herman, the media in the Topeka-Lawrence-KC area would conclude the guy had it coming (much like always happens in Austin with the Bevoid football team).

Thug's an interesting term. It seems to get used on these boards very selectively.

:clap:clap

It has become the 2000's version of the N-word.... Very interesting articles on the internet about the use of the word THUG......

my how things change.

Blame Tupac/Rap Music.:p

The term "thug" has become synonomous with all things hip hop, and young black males. Tupac glorified " Thug Life", and it took off in the inner city areas, and became an identifying term everywhere else. Now it is the most misused term in sports/entertainment, IMO.

Guys called thugs by rival fans, who should never be called thugs by anyone: Blake/Taylor Griffin, Adrian Peterson, most of the KU hoopsters, many of the young, tattood athletes. Obviously who is a thug is determined by appearance.

Guys who were/are thugs, who you will never see referred to as thugs: Tim McVeigh, Sadam, The judge who was recently caught accepting money from private juvenile prisons, to send harmless kids to prison, and locally the sheriff who was taking money from the abused children's fund. Those guys are true thugs, but won't be called thugs because they don't meet the hip hop appearance requirements....

I've heard Sadam called a thug a thousand times.

Obviously who is a thug is determined by appearance.
More by actions than appearance. I don't remember anyone calling the Morris twins thugs (on this board) until one of them launched another human being down a flight a stairs and a melee resulted.

sorry JMizz but "thug" existed from the 30's and beyond. It was STILL a term used frequently in hockey (along with enforcer) and it has been used forever to describe hacksters in the NBA, to wit:
Oakley, Mahorn, Laimbeer, Jim Loskotoff (50's and 60's Celtics thug whose ONLY job was to beat others up) and even Paul Silas.

The rappers stole the term, not vice versa.
