My guess is the guidelines have evolved over the years from the nagging foot injury I remember, when there was a subtle wink to suggest it was a fairly common occurrence to justify a medical redshirt back then. I feel sure the RS may be more difficult to prove now.

I can remember many more people acting as if him getting three or four minutes of action would surely lead to disaster for the team. The overreaction to the minimal minutes he played was baffling.

Polla actually had some decent minutes tonight. He took up some space inside when they were repeatedly getting buckets inside. Got a couple rebounds. He didn't really help offensively but he helped inside when Doolittle was in foul trouble and Freeman was having trouble defensively with their big guy.

Interesting! The box score on Soonersports shows that too. Also shows he had one block and 00 minutes. Nothing about that makes sense.
