No story on the new commit, they havent updated their commit list for OU, and the last basketball update they have is when OU signed Cam Clark.

They have a post up about it on the basketball board over there. Neal isn't in the database yet so they can't update the commitment list until he is.

Im glad he got the kid, but i dont think they had much on this kid, its not going to make news. He will be listed soon I am sure.

I'm embarrassed that we haven't been able to do more than we have. Henzo has been really busy with other stuff and I haven't been able to find anyone to call the kids for updates. Thankfully, we have a lot of great posters here who dig up stuff. Hale has actually been doing a great job with interviews lately.

I found a vid from him on youtube then another vid that has a little bit of him against ESF that's really about it. I'm sure more will surface in the next couple of days.

It really is sad over there at rivals as far as OU basketball coverage. Oklahoma just got a commitment from the POY in Oklahoma and they have no story on their bball page about it, no profile for the kid (how long could that take to create?), the still have Richard Peters listed as 2011. This is a program that just had the #1 pick in the NBA draft following a 30-win season, but they don't want to capatilize on that?

I would still be paying them if they gave a damn, but obviously they don't so they have not received a penny from me in the past couple of years. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I've been trying to find Neal's Rivals page, but he doesn't seem to have one. Does anyone know what other offers he got?

According to his new rivals profile, he had no other offers, and is 6 feet 6 inches but only weighs 175 pounds!!

LOL.

Tyler made it pretty clear in the beginning that he really wanted to try and stay in Oklahoma. He got calls from schools like Sienna, Bucknell, USC, Vanderbuilt, Marquette, but like I previously stated he told those schools he wanted to stay close to home. He also keep his recruiting very private so many people didn't see how many schools were actually contacting him.

ORU and TU were in on him locally.

That puts paid to the 'we beat out ORU for him' criticism. I'm stoked about getting this kid. :clap

Hell ORU was probably better than we were last year. We should be glad to beat ORU for the kid.

So were Marquette, Sienna, USC and the rest of those schools. I agree. We should feel lucky to have Tyler Neal.

Who care what Rivals thinks, or if they have an updated profile on the kid? It's not like the national media is going to drop a blurb on this the way they will when Ray McCallum Jr finally commits. Gordon Hayward was probably the most lightly recruited of all of Butler's starters, and he is being hailed as a potential lottery pick now. There is a long list of guys like that who worked their tails off to become better than their HS profiles.

If Tyler can come in and become a Crocker/Cade type player over the next 2-3 years, then OU has helped themselves. If he can't, he will still represent the school and community alot better than Ray Willis did during his stay, and I'm certain Capel had an idea that Ray's scholarship would be coming available when he took this commitment.
