And in those 2 wins, Buddy Hield averaged 30.5 points.

So the premise of many on the board seems to be that if we have bad players, that is Lon's fault. But when we win because we have a great player, Lon shouldn't get much credit for recruiting and developing that guy. At least that seems to be the thought process.

Also, does anyone here truly believe Lon will be fired after this season? Not sure how anyone could be that clueless, but sure seems like some expect it to happen.

I don't think there's any way he will be fired, but I think his seat needs to become warm. As great as a guy and ambassador as he is, he still has to have results and the team has to show improvement next year.

Don't believe he should be fired but I believe a couple of assistants might need to be replaced.

I'm very critical of Kruger after this year. But i give him all of the credit in the world for recruiting cousins woodard spangler and hield. Kruger is a manager and recruiter that just lets the players figure it out.. sometimes it works. I'm not a fan, as i want a coach that holds players accountable and demands effort. I'm not a fan of players' coaches..

I thought we settled thst question long ago. IMO, Lon will be our coach next season, unless he decides to retire on his own. I doubt if that will happen, because his competitive nature will want to go out on a high note, not the dumpster fire this season turned out to be.

That is the opinion of a fan who has made a study of the way Joe C runs his department. I also don’t believe Lon deserves to be fired. I might change my mind if next season is as bad as the last two. ;)

He's been bad in postseason tournaments for the entire time he's been there. If you take out Buddy's senior year, his tenure looks pretty ugly in that regard. Until these last 2 seasons, he'd been pretty good in conference.
