As I said in another post, I think Sherri really wants to put this year behind her and look forward to this fall. I intend to do the same. I think this year was an aberration and we might not see another year like this again in 30 years. Women's basketball is normally exciting and fun. This year wasn't. This year had some really good memories but also included too many depressing times that I don't care to talk about anymore. So, from this day forward I want to think about what's to come, which I believe is more fun and exciting basketball. 2013-2014 is done and I'm done talking about it. C'mon 2014-2015!

I will agree with that. Good luck to the departing seniors, and welcome to the Freshmen. And welcome to Peyton and hopefully Maddie. Going to be a young exciting team.

I would like to see Kaylon go to a basketball skills camp this summer, preferably one designed for bigs. She has some tools but is in desperate need of refinement and further development.

Well since they workout without the coaches all summer, I would think someone on the staff could give her a video of what she needs to practice on and have her and a teammate or someone that Kaylon knows practice together. You probably see more than I what is needed, but to me she has some good skills. She does however make some dumb mistakes. Maybe if the foul system had not changed, she would have played better. Not saying that it shouldn't have changed, just that I would think worrying about fouls or getting in foul trouble could mess with the rest of your game, just like having trouble with any part of your game could impact your total game.

FYI, back in 2012, the NCAA passed a provision that allows coaches and players to interact for two hours a week for practices and training.

Coaches are given limited time to interact with players per new NCAA rules. For up to two hours per day -- and up to eight hours per week -- coaches can work with their players, including incoming freshmen, in varying capacities.
