Wisconsin will have two returning starters and both will be juniors. The Badgers lost a ton of experience following their run to the 2015 national championship game. Five of its top seven scorers from last season are gone to graduation or to the NBA. Coach Bo Ryan appears to like to use the redshirt, as five of the returning scholarship players have had a redshirt season.

Entered his senior season ranked as the 48th-best player in the country by Scout.com and No. 78 by Rivals.com. Reportedly one of the best shooters in the country in the 2015 recruiting class.
Alex Illikainen (F, 6-9, 225) ... Spent his senior year playing for Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire ... was a two-time all-state selection at Grand Rapids (Minnesota) High School ... averaged 26.5 points and 15.2 rebounds per game as a junior at Grand Rapids HS ... averaged 26.2 points and 12.0 rebounds as a sophomore ... is the Grand Rapids High School all-time leading scorer and rebounder with 2,185 points and 1,402 boards ... ranked as the No. 95 player in the country by ESPN.com ... attended the NBAPA Top 100 Camp in the summer of 2014.
Charlie Thomas (F, 6-8, 245) ... Averaged 20.2 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game as a junior at River Hill (Maryland) High School ... as a junior, earned first-team All-County honors from the Baltimore Sun & Howard County Times ... school record-holder in points (1,137), rebounds (612) and blocks (120) ... first-team All-County honors as a sophomore.
Khalil Iverson (F, 6-5, 200) ... Averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, 2.8 blocks and 2 steals per game as a senior at Hayes High School ... first-team All-Ohio selection ... an all-district and all-conference honoree all four years at Hayes ... OCC Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015 ... led central Ohio in rebounds and assists as a senior, helping the Pacers to a mark of 20-5 in 2014-15 ... as a junior, Iverson averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds per game, guiding Hayes to 21 wins and a share of the Ohio Capital Conference Capital Division championship ...
