All in for watching OU play in the NIT. Good for the players that stay and for those who graduate. It has little or no impact on working the portal.

I agree that it shouldn’t affect recruiting but plenty of the pro Moser crowd disagree. In any event, I don’t think it helps anyone. We are talking about maybe one or two extra practices and low pressure games. Did it look like last year’s NIT games helped us this season? Maybe Sam Houston would have blown us out if we hadn’t gotten the experience last year?

Two guards followed by the young Dylan Mihalke: Amaree Abram (Ole Miss) & Nate Calmese (Lamar).

Another Ole Miss portaler.

Top 100 kid (per 247) in '21. Had some nice offers: Arkansas, Alabama, VCU, Mizzou, Florida, Xavier, Creighton, A&M, Iona, etc.

Not a kid OU will likely look at but Adante is from McAlester (OK). His brother, Adonis (2024), is committed to Texas A&M-Commerce.

Another Tech player hitting the portal

He chose the Red Raiders over offers from Kansas, Kentucky, Florida State, Oregon, amongst others.

Small PG. Would be a good backup but I'm going to guess the kid isn't looking for a backup role. :)

No signs of OU being involved here.

i need a hard knocks style doc on a coaching staff trying to scout and recruit the portal. there's so much talent out there, and it's got to be pretty overwhelming trying to wade through the 1500+ kids that will be out there. no excuses. moser needs to bring it home. but sheesh.

I don't envy Moser. He probably knows this is his last year if he doesn't hit a home run the portal. All the while trying to retain the freshmen from this year. I'm sure the pressure is enormous.

As expected, no NIT berth so we head to the offseason. Let's go!

We have no idea what goes on in practice. You guys acting like every move PM makes is wrong is just plain funny. How are we to know what goes on in practice? Am I happy with the product he has put on the court? NO! And he better get the arrow pointing upwards or he needs to go on down the road, but you have to believe that he wants to be successful, there is no way he is not playing someone just out of ineptitude.

So your belief is that because coaches see practice every day, it means they are infallible when it comes to decisions on playing time and strategy? Of course he wants to be successful. That doesn’t mean he is actually good at his job. Coaching is no different than any other profession. Some people are much better at it than others. And so far, he hasn’t done a good job at OU. No one is suggesting he isn’t trying to win or do his best.

Sadly OU basketball is about as bad as I seen it, and worse I see very little hope in the near future. IMO we have the wrong guy at the controls, not sure if OU can bring another coach in that would be much if any better so....who knows or maybe who cares

What I do know is that PM’s teams have dominated the SEC teams they’ve played the last few seasons (just 2 losses I believe?) and that’s where we are headed soon.
