This team needs to live off of the mid range jumper. We have several guys who are pretty good from this range. Even guys like Thompson can hit a couple of these a game. That needs to be our Bread and Butter. If we take 17 threes a game we will be lucky to win 10 games.

Cameron Clark has a great midrange jumper

Pledger looked last night like he had improved from midrange

Fitz has a great baseline jumper

I completely agree. I'd like to see us take about 10-12 threes a game and focus our offensive game on ball movement, setting good screens and cutting hard.

Cade is pretty good at hitting transition 3's. We can run an occasional screen to get Cade or Pledger a three, but I agree, 10-12 at most a game.

I agree. I would rather see Fitz take fewer jumpers and post up more. I'd like to see Fitz pick and pop for jumpers but that's about it. Cade needs to back off of the three pt jumpers a bit.

another key will be dribble penetration with Blair, Newell, Davis, Pledger, Clark and Taylor creating easy shots for Fitzgerald and other post players. OU did a much better job in the second half of this.

Nice thread and I agree.

Mid Range jumpers from the elbow with Pledger, Cam, Thompson, Cade and Newell should be a staple in this offense. Add in Baseline J's from Fitz and CJ Washington (maybe even some Puma) and we can put up some points at a high percentage clip.
