By two in OT, shot at the buzzer.

UConn wasn't quite as sharp.

I think UConn newbies were a little rattled. They will be back.

Dionnah Jackson's defense played outstanding. MSU players have a great competitive disposition. Very well-done!

Well done, Mississippi State.....and especially William.....Great game and great shot to win the game......Now, go beat S.C.

One of the best games I have seen in years. Also - the little guy beats the dynasty. I admire UConn and Geno, but it was getting old.

Amazing that UConn loses when they are out of their confront zone as in playing close to home the whole tournament. Glad they loss because got tired of hearing about the streak, but now get ready to hear about the monster SEC conference all summer long. Sometimes you can't win for losing.:facepalm

Starting with that wonderful Tennessee 2017 class we're going to keep hearing about..

UConn was just beaten by the better team..happens to one team every game.

Thank goodness that hearing about the losses by UConn and Stanford wasn't an April Fools prank.

Reaffirms to the teams not named UConn that they are beatable despite having less talent. It is not just a coaches sales pitch but it actually happens. Also gives the fans of the other average schools they same hope.

How is it good for women's basketball?

The sport is more competitive if we all can compete for first place, and not just second. If it is more competitive it will also be more popular. Doubly true since the win was not by one of the perennial "elite" teams.
