then let's see . I think they will still be a top 10 type program but I don't see anyone on their team now that will be fantastic. Most of the players right now will be a step slower and a few percent less shooters etc etc BECAUSE they won't have the confidence from having Grinder down there waiting to clean up their mistakes.

Right now they can be sooo much more aggressive and risky on defense because they know if they don't make a play or get a steal Griner will be there to take care of things. NEXT YEAR if they do that a layup happens.

I personally could go and coach Baylor to the national title. Not even close and many on this board could as well. So great get in recruiting 4 years ago getting her BUT whoever got her were set up for a couple of national titles. It becomes much tougher to recruit after Griner is gone too as many want to come play with someone like that.

I don't know how good she is, but she looks like she had a face lift and boob job during the offseason.

The question is, how many coaches could win more than 2 (most possible) NCs with Griner. I'm thinking there are quite a few.

The problem is, Kim won one NC before Griner arrived. Griner is a great player but Baylor would not be winning at this rate if they didn't have other really good players.

Norm, I have to disagree with you. Of course she has good players BUT NO GREAT players other than Griner. And Griner, like I said in my first post, makes all the other players better. They have NO WORRIES about going for a steal or jumping out for something on D as they know that Griner will clean up the mess. Next year there will be lots of messes with no one to clean up. All the players will be not quite as good next year as they are now AND no Griner and several others. Mulkey has no Great players on the team or coming that I see - she will be about 3rd or 4th in the Big 12 next year IMO.

I would certainly classify Sims as a great player. She is almost a lock to play in the WNBA.

You have to remember that they are not only great players, but they were great players together as an AAU team before Baylor!

Lol, I have to agree with others, Baylor won't even have a denect post player next year, I see a team that will be taking mostly jump shots.

Since Griner wouldn't go to the Olympics because it would have to take a test to determine it's sex, I'm not sure what kind of team Baylor has. 5 ladies, 4 ladies and a man, 4 ladies and 1 transexual, take your choice.

Get ready, 61sooner, the wrath of Norm is fixin' to descend upon your head... counting down....

I'll beat Norm to it. It was a stupid, classless post. A totally unwarranted denigration of perhaps the best player ever to play the game.

Wikipedia indicates IOC regulations now are virtually the same as NCAA regulations on this matter.* Thus, an Olympic athlete would not have to undergo routine gender verification tests. However, in individual cases the IOC stills holds on to the right to test on gender.

* Newer rules permit transsexual athletes to compete in the Olympics after having completed sex reassignment surgery, being legally recognized as a member of the sex they wish to compete as, and having undergone two years of hormonal therapy (unless they transitioned before puberty).

Probably the most dominant, I don't think the best, any more than Wilt was the best.

According to an article I read last year, the NCAA has a very sophisticated system. They look at a players driver's license.

Remember 2015 has Teaira McCowan(6-7) and Ashley Hearn(6-4). OU needs to put the press on those 2. Baylor could have another 4 years with a beast of a player in 2015. Also another Sims type player in Jazz Taylor.

Great to see that you know that Griner wouldn't go to the Olympics because she would have to take a test to determine text. You may well be correct but the overwhelming odds are that you are wrong. For certain your speculation is not based on fact but vicious rumor.

Perhaps I should start a rumor that you do not have enough sense to come in out of the rain. For certain my speculation would have as much foundation for accuracy as does yours.

I have said before that I do not like Baylor, Mulkey, or Griner. All that said Baylor is a very, very athletic team that is very well coached. They are sooo much quicker than we are. They made their layup's that we would have missed. They have a lot of talent that will leave after this year, but I would not write them off just yet. We have a lot of folks coming back next year but I have not seen a replacement for Jo sitting on the bench. Maybe between Maddie and Nicole (bless her heart), Portia, and KK we will find one.

Brittany can also sing bass in a barbershop quartet.

It would be interesting, most I think would admit, to see if she could pass the I'm-really-a-girl test.

Wow! And "most"? I must believe you don't have a daughter, son, cat, dog, gold fish....positive character traits or parents that taught you to treat others the way you'd like to be treated. A wise head holds a still tongue.
