NBA Mock Draft

Thank God they don't have Smart going to Boston. Seeing way too many that do, and it makes me feel ill.

I feel the same way being a Magic fan. Most mocks have us taking Exum, but I won't rest easy until the pick is made.

I hadn't given Marcus Smart a thought in weeks before reading this thread. What a pleasure to see his circus of nonsense and hype depart for greener pastures.

Unfortunately my Lakers are high on Smart with their 1st round pick. Please no!!!!!!!!!

:facepalm Please, say it isn't so!

It's tough enough to watch a team I have followed for fifty years or more. If the Lakers draft Smart, I might have to abandon them completely.

Thunder UP!

I actually think Smart would be a great fit if he slides to the Lakers. Defense, physicality & rebounding are more important than outside shooting IMO.

I was really hoping for a Smart, Kobe, Carmelo trio as the perfect mix but it appears Melo will be heading to Miami to play with Lebron.

Msn.Foxsports in one of about five or six sites that has The Lakers taking Smart with its #7. pick, also NBA Draft.Net, among others...

About once every 15-20 years, Kansas sends a player to the NBA who makes a name for himself. Since it's been 16 years when Paul Pierce came into the league, I guess Kansas is overdue. When you have 1st round picks in pretty much every NBA draft, eventually someone has to be of all-star quality. My money is on Wiggins being the future star. The last big-man from Kansas that anyone has heard of was Wilt Chamberlain, and he was drafted 55+ years ago, so I'm not betting on Embiid.

As for Mr. Smart, as a Lakers fan, I don't want him. However, if they draft him, I'll be rooting for him to succeed (or I wouldn't be a REAL Lakers fan).

I think Smart will be really good, sort of in the Westbrook mold (though likely not THAT good, not top 5 in the NBA good). All of the analytical models love him.

I think Smart will be a bust if he's taken in the top ten. He isn't fast enough, handle the ball well enough, or shoot well enough to be an NBA point guard, and I don't see any other position for him. Just my humble opinion, I have nothing against the guy personally.

Smart sucks and I'll field any bets suggesting he'll by anything special.
