NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

I had to decide whether to watch my Lakers last night or get some sleep for a 5:00 a.m. call. I decided to watch the entire game once I saw the Lakers were going to compete. I'm so glad I decided to watch!!! What a show put on by AR!! Like someone said, Sacramento was trying to defend him with 2 & 3 defenders in the 4th. He made the right play EVERY time!! He could have scored 70 if he were shooting like Kobe did the night he scored 82. AR was keeping everyone involved, and he also made some nice defensive plays.

I don't think anyone could have predicted he would be this good. Rui and Ayton looked happier than I've ever seen either of them look, because the ball was moving and everyone got to contribute. Another thing I noticed is how his teammates reacted, and the respect the Kings players showed him after the game. He's a very likable guy.

Fears got his first start tonight. Didn’t have a good first half but nice to see him get the start.

Fears stats were brutal last night, but doesn't change the fact his first two games were very impressive. His coach will determine if he should just come off the bench for now. The last thing we want is for his confidence to suffer because he's put in a spot (as a starter) he's not yet ready for. Then again, it's just one game.

I know it's way too early to talk about NBA All-Star selections, but there's a side reason why I would love Austin Reeves to be selected. Since Wilt Chamberlain retired more than 50 years ago, Oklahoma is only one All-Star player selection behind Kansas (5 - 4). Reeves would tie it up. Kansas has dozens of more NBA Draft picks than OU, but it goes to show you that where you go to college does not automatically make one a better NBA player. Tying Kansas can be a nice recruiting tool along with having Fears in the League.
