It could go either way honestly. I thought he was absolutely amazing for OKC as a leader and veteran to the young guys. I think if the culture is right then he’s good because he knows how to play the game right and wants to win. Not a shocker that it didn’t work with an aging, selfish, lazy Harden. Then Kawhi who only wants to play 20 games a year while getting paid 30 million under the table along with a max contract.
His name has been mentioned a lot as a trade candidate since they have arguably been better without him. It’s too bad he has never really improved his defense or become a more efficient shooter. Those two things have obviously held him back from being a truly elite player.
In their last game, The Lakers beat The Jazz, but gave up 135 points defensively. They are at 19-7 right now, and much improved over last year, but they are NOT good on defense.
Does anyone know what is going on with Buddy Hield? I realize he has been inconsistent this year, but he's not THAT BAD. The past few games, he either hasn't played or is getting a few mop-up minutes. I never thought of him as getting a "DNP - Coaches Decision". He's playing for a great coach, but wondering if it's best for both parties for him to be traded.
