NCAA play-in games

How about the no call. That was clearly a foul.

Like playing at home for Dayton was not enough. Watching how the refs just disappear and show how gutless they can be makes a mockery of the game and hopefully Naismith is rolling over in his grave.

We may end up meeting this Dayton team if we get past Albany. They better not get the rub of the green like they just did on their HOME court for a NCAA game.

Come on, Naismith loves when that happens every night in Allen Field house

Did you see the Boise player dribble the ball into the corner with just seconds remaining where he was double teamed? What a dense move.

Dribbled into the corner for some reason. Then they in bound the ball to a guy moving toward the baseline in the same corner. Who catches it... And then stands there. It was just a horrible late game offensive performance.

And again, absolutely ridiculous that Dayton got a home game, and now plays its next two potential games closer to its campus than any other team in the entire field of 64.

Coach had a timeout and should have used it

That would have just bailed out the poor decision. With just seconds left he should have been dribbling to the rim and not to no man's land thus allowing the opposing team to get a leg up on the final possession.

I had relatives who lived in Dayton and spent a little time there, so I like the Flyers.

But that said, I was ashamed of Dayton's coach. The thought "that guy is a loser" came to mind when I watched his interview after the game. Not a single complimentary word about Boise. Given an unearned home court advantage, all the free throws in the last few minutes of the game - just like most home teams get, and an extremely close game, yet he cannot find the sportsmanship to say even one tiny kind thing about an opponent given their significantly unfair situation in this game.

That's not a foul. Defender landed before Marks took off, he is entitled to that space.

As for Dayton playing on their home floor, I am on record as a NCAA-hater, but what do you want them to do? Essentially, if you don't seed Dayton to where the committee thought they belonged, you are then forcing a team to play a first four game which shouldn't be or keeping Dayton out of the tournament altogether.

Tournament sites are set years in advance.

It was a blatant foul. The defender was leaning and not set. Beyond that his arms were at an angle and not vertical. Those arms hit the shooters arm before the body contact.

Boise State looked like the better team thru most of the game so I am kinda with you on the Dayton coach being a loser.

Man I hope we get Dayton in the second round (don't give me any crap about "looking ahead". I'm a fan, I can do that). I don't even care about Dayton's potential home court advantage. Dayton has no size, no depth and if they make it to Sunday, will have played 6 games since last Friday. With all due respect to Boise, a team that only beat them by 1 point at home in an NCAA tournament game is one I want to face with the Sweet 16 on the line.

Providence, on the other hand, has some serious star power in LaDontae Henton (6'6" wing averages nearly 20 ppg) and Kris Dunn (former 5 star PG, 15.8 ppg and 7.6 assists) plus legitimate size and depth.

OU can certainly beat either team, but Dayton is the FAR better matchup.
