St. Louis is so well coached. Nobody will ever convince me a coach like that at OU wouldn't have us comfortably in the Dance most years, even with no changes to resources.

Same with Utah State as far as being well coached. Gotta think some schools will go after him this year.

This is a fun game. Michigan is so, so good, but St. Louis is hanging around. Could end up being down to the wire but won’t be a surprise if Michigan eventually throws a knockout punch and runs away with it.

Punch. Thrown.

I'd be pretty shocked if one of the four #1 seeds didn't win this thing. IMO, they are a considerable level above the rest of the field this year.

When Houston really has their defense locked in, it’s a thing of beauty to watch. Their rotations and closeouts are so quick. I just hope they don’t have one of those games where they go through a really long scoring drought. That always seems to be their Achilles heel. Maybe Flemings will be the cure for that.

Texas is going to beat Gonzaga. They actually have a decent coach, so of course that helps them.

Yeah they are. Texas having a good coach, and us not, sucks ass.
Circumstances are slightly different, as Rodney Terry was a long-term interim that got hired after making a run in the tournament with Chris Beard's team. But, Texas told him he needed to win one or two games in the tournament, he lost in the First Four, and they made a change.

OU didn't make a coaching change in the last three years and we're in the same place we've been for the last five.

Man, other than LSU and South Carolina and maybe Miss State, every team in our league has/likely will make a March run while we are in year 16 of the Moser plan.

On a related note, S Carolina just fired their baseball coach five weeks into his second season. I guess they care enough about the sport to make the move once it’s obvious he isn’t the right man for the job.

Different circumstances, though. South Carolina didn't give their crappy coach a miserable buyout.

JoeC extended our guy, unfortunately not true to make the statement that we didn’t make a change.

They are something else. Truly incredible. And I know they don’t have a major league franchise, but Oklahoma didn’t, either, till the Thunder. It’s just amazing how they support every sport.
Meh. They are a football school who has sucked at football for 20 years, and has a pretty good basketball team produced by a program that has never won a game in the NCAA tournament. A lot of schools’ fans would turn out under those circumstances if they got a draw six hours from home. I was more talking about how they clearly think the refs are out to get them or something. They’re making more noise about the officiating than they are about the game itself.
