NCAA Tourney the Thread

I thought TCU got one taken away from them last night....

End of regulation, Frog guard gets pushed onto the half court line and zona steals the ball. I don't know how it wasn't a foul. Wasn't called.

And why wasn't there a review of the out of bounds call on the zona press when TCU players and coaches claimed it was off of Zona??

Tough loss but great game.;)

It was a great game. So many plays made in the clutch. I think the Zona home crowd affected the calls late. The two you referenced were the most obvious....

Ya that push at half court was unbelievable

The officiating is embarrassingly bad in this tournament. Holmgren committed at most three fouls, and they somehow missed a fairly obvious out of bounds call that led to a three. I just don’t understand how this sport can be officiating so poorly.

If I was Gonzaga I would be looking to step up some Non Conference scheduling in January and February….not sure that league is preparing them for the tourney

Hopefully tt can pull this out… everyone and their dog want coach k to win this

I don’t think that’s even possible. You play two league games per week, and what quality teams will want to add noncon games to that? Plus, they’ve won more tournament games than any other team the past seven years. It’s hard winning a natty.

Agreed. Another game heavily influenced by bad refereeing.

I agree re; the WCC, but they played UT, UCLA, Duke, Bama, & Tech OOC. That’s pretty solid in my books.

With the talent Arkansas has coming next year they may end winning it all

bad list to be on

I think most of those games are in November and December w/o looking to make sure….not sure it’s in there best interest to just play league games from January to the tournament….they basically play a bunch of weak teams outside St Mary’s from January on

Houston beat Arizona. Kelvin's 1 win from back to back final fours.

I've said before and will say it again - going to the NBA for about 5 years made Kelvin a better coach. We all knew he was a great defensive coach, but that's where he learned more about offense (and he said all this 6-7 years back). He wasn't an elite head coach at OU (can't be 1-8 in toss-up games in the NCAA Tournament and be elite), but he is now. I don't think Houston has the talent to win it all this year (hope I'm wrong), but if he ever has a team that has that talent, they will win it all.

Again, how can they change this? You can’t add noncon games in Jan and Feb. And if they weren’t prepared, how do you explain all their success in the tournament?

Kelvin. Geez. What a coach. Arizona had nothing for them last night. No answers at all.
