ND is the first team UK has faced this tourney that has a chance. I don't know much about ND other than they have multiple guys that can/do shoot the 3 well. That is one way to beat UK. Knock down a bunch of 3's.

It would also open up the bracket for Wisky to make the NC game, which is good for my brackets. :)

That loss goes squarely on the ND coach. Some very questionable decisions down the stretch.

That was great defense on the final shot. You have a 7 footer chase the shooter down the court. Not many teams have that luxury.

Not many teams have three 7 footers on their team either...

If OU is going to lose in the Tourney, I would want to lose the way ND did...playing the best game they could possibly play, but simply lose to a superior team. The closest we ever came to that was the OT loss in the 1987 Sweet 16 to Iowa. We were a #6 and they were a #2. Both teams brought their 'A' game, and it took a 3-point shot with one second left to beat us. We played a decent game last night, but nowhere near the performance ND put on tonight.

1999 vs. Michigan State

Not the last second loss. But a good fight against a team that was MUCH better than us.

Wrong! :ez-laugh: Per the ESPN roster on Kentucky, they "only" have two 7 footers; Of course, they also have a 6-11 and a 6-10, two 6-9 guys, a 6-8er, along with a slew of "shorter" 6-6 guys...

That team has a BUNCH of tall timber guys!!!

That would be my second choice, albeit a distant second. We only scored 18 points in the second half until a meaningless 3-pointer with a few seconds left in the game. The 1987 loss was very similar to tonight's game in regards to overall excitement. I think Iowa scored the first 5 points in OT, and we scored the next 6 before future Celtic Kevin Gamble hit that three. To date, that was the only OU Tourney loss which I stood a clapped vigorously after the loss.

The 1998 OT loss to Indiana was another loss I could stomach, but we just haven't had many of those through the years.
